- When it came down to the wedding cake during the planning process, I knew I wanted something simple and classy but still wanted it to be unique. With our budget we needed a bit of a miracle and unfortunately I stumbled upon the perfect picture of what I wanted and became stuck on it. And of course, it didn’t look like it would fit nicely into the cake budget slot. When we showed the picture to Jim he had some ideas and tricks up his sleeves. For a while we were not sure we could pull it off but we trusted Jim to take care of it. On the day of our wedding, when we finally saw our marvelous cakes unveiled, both of us were blown away. Jimmy Cakes had gone above and beyond what we could have ever hoped for in the cake department. It was exactly what I had in mind and so much more. Jim’s love for cake designing and his down to earth personality really shines through in his wedding cakes. He can work miracles, not only on the design front, but TASTE…oh my the TASTE. These were the best cupcakes we have ever had, consisting of chocolate cake and his signature butter-cream icing. To die for. We received cake praises for weeks after the wedding. - True Story: Our original cake decorator quit about two weeks before our wedding and we were in a panic that we were not going to have the cake we wanted. Jim offered his services to be our cake decorator back in November 2010. After seeing Jim’s work on his blog and facebook page we knew that he could do what we wanted.
